We won’t stop snowboarding until the last lift will be shut down, nor will we stop making your shred a little more awesome! You should definitely come visit Kaunertal at 19. of May and be part of our next “GO-SHRED TRIATHLON”. You might want to start to prepare sooner than later. _______________________________________________________________________________________ **GAME of go-shred at Kaunertal with ETHAN MORGAN:** The rules should be well known: Stick a trick, watch the others try it. Everyone who doesn’t land the trick will get a letter. You’re out as soon as you have 5 letters collected!!! The riders with the meanest tricks or most luck will meet in a SUPERFINAL. For the first time we have a real snowboard star in there. SWOX teamrider Ethan Morgan will be at Kaunertal for playing the GAME of go-shred with you. Don’t be afraid to join! There are tons of prizes - Ethan couldn’t even carry all of them, except for he rolls up with a massive truck! (we will take care that he won’t)! *Be aware of copies!!!* **In-between BBQ:** After committing, we serve a barbecue and some refreshing drinks in front of the tollgate in the valley. You will need some strengthening, just before we start the price giving ceremony at 8pm at Pfiffalm. K2 Spring in the Park 2012 - full report

**K2 SPRING IN THE PARK at Zugspitze** During the last 2 weeks, we celebrated the 2nd go-shred weeks at the Zugspitze in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Who knows this town? This place makes me think about famous events like the Olympic Games in 1936, which was the reason to unite Garmisch and Partenkirchen. Because the two cities seperated couldn’t fulfill the conditions of participation. The township wanted to be the scene for the Winter Olympics in 2018 again, so they invested millions of €uros for the candidature, but in the end Garmisch-Partenkirchen lost the challenge. But they still have the Zugspitze, the highest mountain of Germany, which is one of the most famous attractions for thousands of tourists from all around the globe. But Garmisch-Partenkirchen makes me think about another happening, that made the city famous several years ago. Perhaps there are still some shredders who remember the wild times during the GAP 1328 camp. GAP 1328 was one of Europe’s spring shred highlights. The camp happened just a few weeks before the world famous SPC Camp that took place at Hintertux. Everybody who loves to shred traveled to Garmisch, whatever it costed, wherever they found a place to stay. This was Woodstock for the snowboard scene. One day, nobody knows exactly why, no more GAP 1328 took place. We heard a few rumors, that the Bayrische Zugspitz Bahn wants to protect the glacier and that’s why they forbid the camp. We heard that the residents didn’t want to have those kind of Athletes anymore, because they caused too much trouble in the idyllic town of retirees. But whatever, the go-shred team and me came back to Garmisch after nearly one decade and that’s what we experienced. We installed our go-shred headquarter in front of the Eibsee station, including the Contessa 1000 for making the coffee to go-shred. As we always have the mission to reward people using go-shred.com we offered lift tickets with a reduction of 10€, which we sold directly to all the go-shred travelers. They just had to present a screenshot of the lift offer they traveled with and their travel buddies to the go-shred crew to get the special deal! *go-shred travelers* *preparing the coffee to go-shred* *you better be connected with the locals* Beside numerous chats with guests down in the valley, **we ran the GAME of go-shred** in the Terrain Park. It was super much fun and easy to handle. The kids, as well as the older shredders were motivated to compete in this riders-judged challenge. Via the common game Rock, Paper, Scissors one of the group of competitors had to start by performing a trick that the others had to do as well. If somebody didn’t stomp the trick that was given, he got one letter of “shred”. The first person who had all 5 letters was eliminated and the others continued until there was still one who had letters left. *freeskiers playing the scissors, stone and paper game* We had 3 groups of skiers and 2 groups of snowboarders who competed not only to win prices from K2snowbaording and SWOX surf protection, but also to learn some new tricks. From my side, big thanks and respect to the participants because there was no trouble, no anger but a totally easy competition where everybody learned something new. *price giving freeskiers GAME I* *price giving freeskiers GAME II* *price giving freeskiers GAME III* *price giving snowboarders GAME II* It would be too much to tell you all the details of the games, but one game has to be mentioned. It was the first GAME of go-shred, where the mature shredders fought till the very end. It was the coach crew, consisting of Sebi Schmitz, Alex Pfeffer, Holger Mertn and Marcel Dextor. During the last battle between Sebi and Dex, Sebi had a bad hang up on the obstacle and we had to stop the game. But like it is in a game between a bunch of friends, the most motivated guy always earns the respect of the crew and in this case the special go-shred support package. *Sebi pressing like it's hard* *Sebi popin, grabin, slidin* *Dextor front bluntin* *Holger Norris punishin the tube * *creative director Alex P. front noseing* BIG PROPS to Sebi for making this GAME of go-shred to an unforgettable highlight of the SPRING IN THE PARK 2012. *Lucky winners: Sebi Schmitz and Marcel Dextor* Last Saturday, the last day of the go-shred weeks, we printed the exclusive camp T-shirt at the Eibsee station for all the camp participants. No matter if they were youngsters or adults, everybody was stoked to get a hand printed K2 SITP camp T-shirt for free. *announcing the free K2 SITP tees* *train station Eibsee is full of shirts* All in all we had a great time and we especially say a big thank you to Helena Henn from the Zugspitze and Andy Threimer from K2snowboarding. And for sure to all those who made this camp as unique as it was! Montafon Banked Slalom - 2nd edition

On Saturday 31 March, the second **Montafon Banked Slalom, presented by *Deeluxe***, took place. The local ski school and a bunch of motivated shapers under the patronage of Michael Lippitsch built up the course within a week. About 20 turns and 1.30 minutes ride. It was awesome. Blue bird, perfect crowd and best organization team you can imagine. We built up the go-shred tent for the registration in the morning. Everybody was really hyped to get their bib number and for sure the coffee to go-shred. We although had the pleasure to announce the winner of the go-shred@Montafon Banked Slalom award. It was Tobias Dassinger who offered the first ride to the Banked. Deeluxe, Coal and go-shred recompensed him with stuff and a free lift ticket. You better keep your eyes open because using go-shred is caring about money, environment, and other people who need a ride. And that’s why we care about you, and reward you when you use go-shred.com. After the registration the riders went up the hill to check out the course. There was no training, just looking. The race started at 12 am, just in time. Everybody had 1 run to qualify. The girls and the best 40 riders had a second run. It was a spectacle to see some riders shredding in the old-school style, other ones prepared their boards like they wanted to take part in the Olympic games. Here are the fastest three racers of the second montafon banked slamom 2012: **Ladies:** 1. Aline Bock 1:35.76 2. Jung Jasmin 1:39.85 3. Adriana Olech 1:40.41 **Men:** 1. Jürgen Hausbauer 1:26.15 2. Alex Fischer 1:26.88 3. Tadej Valentan 1:27.23 All in all a great competition with a relaxed price giving ceremony and a smooth after-contest party. We would like to thank all of you, especially Michael Lippitsch and Matthieu Perez, who made this event grandiose! And for sure, it was an honor to be part of it!
