On Saturday, February 22nd, we made history. For the very first time in the history of go-shred – and that of Penken Park – we celebrated GENERATION DAY under clear blue skies, bright sunshine, and with a perfectly shaped park. From the first to the fifth generation, riders of all ages came together to celebrate the shred.
It didn’t matter whether you were on skis or a snowboard, a beginner or an expert, a racer or a freestyler – we had sessions for every type of rider. Together with our friends from YOUNG ACTION HEROES and M-Town, we gave the youngest generation the chance to participate in coaching sessions, discover new tricks, try something different, and meet other like-minded winter sports enthusiasts. The kids were thrilled – and so were we!
With the support of our partner Giro, we organized the very first GIRO DUAL RACE on the funslope, right next to the pro kicker line. Going head-to-head, racers were fired up as they battled it out on the course, experiencing the adrenaline rush of a face-to-face competition.
At the same time, for all freestyle riders – whether on skis or snowboards – we hosted the traditional go-shred PENKEN BINGO. The goal of BINGO was to land four tricks in a row to complete the challenge. Participants were hyped to step out of their comfort zones, push their limits, and try something new – because there’s no better feeling than stomping a new trick!
In addition to the two competitions, riders had the chance to test the brand-new Salomon Snowboards and bindings from the upcoming Winter 25/26 collection. Since 1947, Salomon has been producing top-quality winter sports gear with the highest technical and innovative standards – and if you haven’t tried their products yet, you absolutely should! Everyone was stoked, and the smiles on the participants’ faces said it all.
To round off the session, we treated all participants to a free BBQ and some Spezi – Das Original. Because what’s better than an action-packed day on the mountain, followed by great food and drinks?
