What a Saturday! We’re just back at the office, ready to recap the latest GAME of go-shred at Steibis in the Allgäu.
For those who don’t know or have never heard of the Allgäu, it’s a region in southwest Germany known for its medium-sized mountains, numerous lakes, and vast forests—perfect for enjoying nature. Many Germans regularly travel to the Allgäu for year-round outdoor activities.
This time, we headed to Steibis, near Oberstaufen, to host our 3rd GAME of go-shred. We were beyond stoked to be back and to run our GAME for the third time at this little resort. Despite this particularly dry winter, the resort and its shapers managed to prepare a small but well-built snowpark with two lines and plenty of rails. We could hardly believe our eyes—there were more rails than boxes, tanks, or tubes! The local freestyle scene is hungry, highly motivated, and eager to push their skills.
On Saturday morning, after a great breakfast at St. Uller Hotel & Restaurant—our accommodation for the weekend—we arrived at the park around 8:45, ready to set up. With the help of the shapers, Dominik, and our longtime friends Anika and Gido, we completed the setup in less than an hour, giving us time for a few test runs before the first shredders arrived to register for the event.

Even though we were there to run an event in the snowpark, temperatures reached nearly 20°C, and we all enjoyed the first real spring vibes of the year.
By noon, we had nearly 40 registered riders, ready to play the GAME of go-shred. With seven groups—snowboarders, skiers, kids, and adults—we kicked off the GAME. The atmosphere was amazing, and everyone was fully focused on the different challenges we had prepared.
This time, we had two incredible main prizes from Salomon: a brand-new snowboard from the upcoming season and an ultra-limited-edition pair of Salomon Départ skis. Because of these prizes, we decided to hold a super final for the GAME of S.H.R.E.D. For those who didn’t win the main prizes, we had the Salomon Snowboards test booth, where they could try out boards and bindings from the upcoming season.

While preparing for the prize-giving ceremony, we fired up the BBQ and served some fresh Spezi – Das Original. We love providing our riders with food and drinks because that’s how it should be—it’s part of what makes these events so special.
Around 3 PM, we kicked off the prize-giving ceremony. With goodies from Volcom, Giro, Stance, and Yeti, we had prizes for nearly everyone.

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality and positive energy, so we want to say THANK YOU a thousand times to Imbergbahn, Steibis Snowpark, Lars from St. Uller for the accommodation, Metzgerei Giray in Lindenberg, all the shapers, and the main coordinator, Kili, who was always motivated and ready to help wherever needed.
A huge thank you to all our supporters, who enable us to push the shred scene in our own way and as much as we can.
May the SHRED life live forever!
If you want more of this, join us this Saturday, 15th of March at Snowpark Steinplatte, where we’ll be hosting the STEP IN THE ARENA rail battle for skiers and snowboarders.
