#4 GAME of go-shred I Crystal Ground I 2026

Saturday, 4th of April, we were at the Crystal Ground Snowpark in Kleinwalsertal for the final weekend of the season.

The GAME of go-shred kicked off at 11:00 with registration, and at 12:00 sharp we started the challenges. We were stoked to see so many kids, teens, and adults ready to have fun—it couldn’t have been better. After a rainy morning, the sky cleared up, and we enjoyed sunshine and, of course, spring slush all day. Shredders of all ages came out to improve their skills and soak up the unique atmosphere.

At around 12:00, we closed registration and started forming the groups. In total, we had kids, teens, adults, and even minis participating. The youngest rider was around five years old, while the oldest was in their mid-forties. As the organizer—and someone who has seen this format grow and evolve over the past decade—I couldn’t have imagined something like this. I think about four families competed across the different categories: mothers, fathers, and kids were all part of the GAME. They were equally excited about learning new tricks, finding motivation through the fun competition, and, of course, watching their family members enjoy the same experience.

At around 14:00, we fired up the BBQ and treated our guests to food and drinks. Once the last groups finished their GAME at 15:00, we moved on to the prize-giving ceremony. The top three riders in each group were rewarded with goodies from Volcom, Giro, Stance, and YETI. Everyone was stoked and had an amazing Saturday at Crystal Ground.

I want to say thank you to all the participants, the entire Crystal Ground shaper crew, and its manager Josef, who literally works day and night to keep this park running. A big thank you also goes out to our supporters—Volcom, Skatehalle Innsbruck, Salomon Snowboards, and Giro—who are part of the go-shred community and support our mission to keep shredding fun, accessible, and as exciting as possible.

As you can imagine, the season isn’t over yet—we still have one more event this winter. On Saturday, April 18th, we’ll host the season ender at Nordkette Skyline Park.

It’s not over yet…
