In einem der ältesten oder sogar dem ältesten Snowpark in Vorarlberg fand am vergangenen Samstag unser 3. GAME statt. Bei blauem Himmel, Sonnenschein und unglaublichen Temperaturen über dem Gefrierpunkt haben wir kurzerhand den Frühling inklusive Sonnenschein nach Damüls importiert.

Uns wurde erzählt, dass etwa seit 2 Wochen in Damüls keine Sonne mehr geschienen hat und in Anbetracht der arktischen Temperaturen diese Woche, es kaum vorstellbar war, dass wir am Samstag den ganzen Tag im Pullover rum gerannt sind.

Am Samstag morgen schlugen wir um 10 Uhr unsere Zelte und das Setup an der Parkbase auf und bereiteten alles für die Mädels und Jungs vor, die es kaum abwarten konnten sich anzumelden. Um 11.30 starteten wir mit etwa über 40 Teilnehmern die Spiele.
Kurz nach 12 Uhr, bat der Chef Thomas Alton zu Tisch bzw. an den Grill. Frisch gebrutzelte Würstchen und Semmeln ließen das Herz aller Teilnehmer und Zuschauer höher schlagen. In Kombination mit einer Spezi – Das Original gab es dann den ein oder anderen Herz Überschlag und alles zusammen führte zu einer ausgelassenen Stimmung im Park.

In guter alter go-shred Manier ging es darum die verschiedenen Disziplinen des GAMEs zu meistern, nämlich das Duckwalk oder für Skifahrer Sitestep Rennen, den Highest Ollie, den Skatehalle Innsbruck Snowskate Award und das Game of s.h.r.e.d.

Großer DANK geht an die Sonne, die uns an diesem Samstag wieder einmal nicht im Stich gelassen hat und den Snowpark Damüls, das Skigebiet Damüls und alle Gäste und Teilnehmer einen Glanz der ganz besonderen Art verpasst hat. Danke an alle die dabei waren und wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf nächstes Jahr.

ENGLISCH VERSION:
We celebrated our third GAME of go-shred in one of the oldest or perhaps even the oldest snowpark of Vorarlberg on Sunday. With blue skies, sunshine and temperatures above freezing we brought springtime to Damüls.
We heard that there had not been any sunshine for two weeks and considering the arctic temperatures this week, it’s hard to believe that we just needed a hoodie to feel comfortable last Saturday.
On Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, we pulled up our installation and prepared everything for the girls and boys who couldn’t wait to register for the GAME. Around noon we started the GAMEs with over 40 participants.
A few minutes later the chief himself Mrs. Thomas Alton shouted out loudly that the BBQ was ready and everybody was invited to enjoy some sausages and some Spezi – Das Original. The BBQ, the free drinks and the GAME made everybody smile and led to a joyful atmosphere with laughter and good moments.
Everybody had great fun and thanks to our supporters from the industry (Alton Premium Boardstore, Volcom, Vans, Stance und GIRO SNOW) we had a lot of goodies for all the winners.
First and foremost we want to thank the SUN because she was there and provided us with everything we needed to have a good day. A big thank you goes out to all the participants, the ski resorts Damüls, all the shapers from Damüls Snowpark, Spezi – Das Original, Skatehalle Innsbruck and to all of you who made this event unique as it was. We are already looking forward to coming back next season and having a great time with the Vorlarlbergers!!!
