Saturday, 25th of March, the go-shred crew did the very first event in South Tyrol at Obereggen. Obereggen has a big heart for the freestyle scene and according to this, the snowpark is incredible. The obstacles, rails and kickers are for all kind of riding level, but all in all it’s more a park for advanced riders. With a super-fast chairlift, you can-do high-speed lapping and while sitting in the lift you have a spectacular overview from the park. This is extraordinary cause while sitting in the chairlift you get continuously inspired by the other shredders. So, if you haven’t shred this park till now, you should definitely visit.
Back to the event: Due to the great infrastructure of the park, the head shaper Morrice and me were on the same page to do a BINGO. On Saturday, we arrived at 9:00 at the park for pulling up our setup. With the help of the shapers, we finished the installation within an hour and had enough time to motivate the freestyle Scene in Obereggen to take part at the Bingo. First it seemed a little bit difficult to convince all the riders to take part, but step by step the riders get familiar with the format and were ready to register for the BINGO. When we closed the registration at 12:00 o’clock we had about 40 riders who were ready to compete in 4 different categories.
After 2 hours of trick firework in the park, we had a lot of BINGOS and a lot of smiling riders. People were stoked about the format and the challenge of doing new tricks. While taking to the competitors I heard which new tricks they did for their first time in life and how they loved the contest and the stoke about stomping new tricks. While the contest went down, the SK8 project Bozen crew prepared some vegetarian food on the barbecue because nobody should be hungry during a go-shred event. We had free vegetarian panini and Spezi – Das Original for all participants. And I think, they all loved it.
Meanwhile the participants tried new tricks and were served by the SK8 Project Bozen crew, there were two special guests who joined the spectacle. Obereggens local Max Zebe and Spezi – Das Original shredder Moritz Amsüss. Those two multi-talented boardsport enthusiasts had a lot of fun while cruising the park and try out all the creative feature implemented by the Obereggen snowpark crew.
At 15.30 we could start with the price giving ceremony, where we reward all the BINGO from the contest. We had price from Stance, Volcom, Giro and Salomon Snowboards to give to all the players.
To sum up, our first Obereggen BINGO was a big success. We had great weather, good crowd of shredders, great food and a lot of stoke all over the place. BIG THANK you to all of you for being part of it, to Obereggen for having us and to all the supporters: Mila Süd Tirol, SK8 project Bozen and Spezi – Das Original.

Sabato 25 marzo, la crew di go-shred ha organizzato il primo evento in Alto Adige a Obereggen. Obereggen ha a cuore la scena freestyle e per questo lo snowpark è incredibile. Gli ostacoli, i rail e i kicker sono adatti a tutti i livelli di riding, ma tutto sommato è più un park per rider esperti. Grazie a una seggiovia superveloce, si possono fare giri in successione e mentre si è seduti sulla seggiovia si ha una panoramica spettacolare del park. Questo è straordinario perché seduti in seggiovia si viene continuamente ispirati dagli altri rider. Quindi, se non avete ancora girato in questo parco, dovreste assolutamente visitarlo.
Torniamo all’evento: grazie all’ottima infrastruttura del park, io e l’head shaper Morris abbiamo programmato una partita di BINGO. Sabato siamo arrivati alle 9:00 al parco per montare il nostro setup. Con l’aiuto degli shaper, abbiamo finito l’installazione in un’ora e abbiamo avuto abbastanza tempo per motivare la scena freestyle di Obereggen a partecipare all’evento. All’inizio sembrava un po‘ difficile convincere il gruppo a partecipare, ma passo dopo passo i rider hanno preso confidenza con il format ed erano pronti a registrarsi per il BINGO. Quando abbiamo chiuso le iscrizioni alle 12:00 avevamo circa 40 rider pronti a competere in 4 diverse categorie.
Dopo 2 ore di azione nel park, abbiamo avuto molti Bingo completati e molti rider sorridenti. La gente era entusiasta del format e della sfida di fare nuovi trick. Mentre parlavo con i concorrenti, ho sentito quali nuovi trick hanno fatto per la prima volta nella loro vita e come hanno amato il contest e la sfida del cimentarsi in qualcosa di nuovo. Mentre il contest si svolgeva, la crew di Sk8project Bolzano ha preparato del cibo vegetariano sul barbecue, perché nessuno dovrebbe avere fame durante un evento di go-shred. Abbiamo offerto gratuitamente panini vegetariani e Spezi – Das Original a tutti i partecipanti. E credo che tutti abbiano apprezzato.
Mentre i partecipanti provavano nuovi trick e venivano serviti dalla crew di Sk8project Bolzano, due ospiti speciali si sono uniti allo spettacolo. Max Zebe, local di Obereggen, e Moritz Amsüss, rider di Spezi – Das Original. I due poliedrici appassionati di boardsport si sono divertiti molto a girare per il parco e a provare tutte le caratteristiche strutture implementate dalla crew dello snowpark di Obereggen.
Alle 15.30 è iniziata la cerimonia di premiazione, in cui sono stati premiati tutti i BINGO del contest. Avevamo premi di Stance, Volcom, Giro e Salomon Snowboards da dare ai partecipanti.
In conclusione, il nostro primo BINGO a Obereggen è stato un grande successo. Il tempo è stato splendido, la folla di roder è stata numerosa, il cibo è stato ottimo e la voglia di divertirsi è stata tanta. Un grande ringraziamento a tutti voi per aver partecipato, a Obereggen per averci ospitato e a tutti i sostenitori: Mila Süd Tirol, Sk8project Bolzano e Spezi – Das Original.
