For those who don’t know, Lakai is an original californien skateshoe brand. Founded by two professional skateboarders from the golden area at the end of the last millennium. At that time skateboarding was mainly at home in the streets, schoolyards, skateparks and bowls. This brand came up to be pure skateboarding and it still is. For over 20 years, Lakai is keeping it real. Several full-length videos (some links below), which can easily be considered as milestones in the history of skateboarding were released by Lakai and its skateboard team. Comparing Lakai to all the other big shoe brand players, which jumped on the bandwagon at the time when skateboarding getting more acceptance in the mainstream and offered the opportunity to get marketchairs, Lakai sticked to their roots and continued within the scope of their possibilities to enrich skateboarding.
And now, we just can say, let the good times role and show what skateboarding looks like through the perspective of a Los Angeles based bunch of skateboard lovers mixed up with the love for skateboarding of go-shred.

Lakai is a Los Angeles, California based footwear manufacturer that enjoys a rich history in the skateboarding lifestyle. Founded by professional skateboarders Mike Carroll and Rick Howard in 1999, Lakai is built on the dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl and Chocolate brands. Lakai’s first video, Beware of the Flare, was released in June 2002. The highly anticipated follow up, Fully Flared, was released to critical acclaim on November 16, 2007. Lakai’s most recent video, The Flare, was released in June of 2017 and is available for purchase on iTunes and Vimeo now.
